A Heroic Animal Rescue on Ellen
This warms my heart. Hopefully the guy who wants to adopted her on here will be able to. I heard he hasn't yet because the owner is claiming her as his which is ridiculous since he left the dog for dead for 8 days.
PS: Update: The rescuer was able to adopt the dog after the previous owner waived his rights to not be fined and charged with animal cruelty. Only released the dog to save his own skin. Luckily the dog will have a new great home where he will never be left for dead again.

9/11
I don't think this day will ever be the same for those who lived it. I remember waking up and coming downstairs. My dad was watching the Today show and talking to me about the plane hitting the tower. Honestly my 18 year old mind was still waking up and the gravity of what was happening didn't hit me. I've never been to New York and never seen the towers. I humored my dad by watching some of the coverage with him and together we saw the second plane it. Immediately realized it was a commercial air liner and realized this was an act of war. American soil was under attack for the first time in life. The rest of the day I was comatose in front of the TV from shock and disbelief of what was happening. I realized the national effect and knew this was a start of a war. Not until later when I watched a HBO documentary about a boy who lost his mom in the towers and was too young to understand what happened or that she will never return to him broke my heart and also made me realize how many people are left waiting for a loved one to return that never would. I also thought of how the person lost, left that day not realizing today would be there last. They got dressed and went out never expecting an attack and like the boy in the documentary how many of them never said goodbye or I love you and are still left waiting/hurting. Since then we have lost more lives in our military adding to the void left by 9/11. Since then I think of those people lost and left waiting but not just on 9/11 but everyday.

Couple cancels wedding to save dog...
Melanie Cannon and Eddie Hanna are two of my favorite people today. Just read a story about how they decided to cancel their wedding to save the life of their sick rescued pitbull. What is even more touching and surprising to me is that the shelter they got the dog from heard the story and decided to get local vendors to donate to be able to make their wedding still possible. I'm shocked vendors where so willing when the dog is a pitbull. Of course I love pits and would definitely do anything for my girls but as a pit owner I know the treatment these dogs get by people and the nasty look the owners of them get. This story warms my heart see the link below.

Rescued bear cub, Boo Boo!
Boo Boo is one lucky bear!
The baby black bear is being nursed back to health after being rescued from the Mustang Fire that engulfed 250,000 acres near Salmon, Idaho.
With his badly burned paws carefully bandaged, the cub has won the hearts of animal lovers all over the country who have rallied to help pay his medical bills, but when he was first plucked from the flames officials didn't even think he would survive, reported KBOI2.com.
After weighing just 23 pounds when he was rescued on August 26, four-month-old Boo Boo is making leaps and bounds in his recovery. "He is eating like a little pig, very feisty, and not very social," said Dr. Jeff Rosenthal, director of the Idaho Humane Society. "He charges the cage front whenever anyone gets near, trying to scare us off.
"If his recovery continues at this pace, he could be ready to leave the Humane Society's care in as little as two weeks," explained the vet.
Boo Boo's huge appetite has now prompted his carers to ask for offerings of fruit instead of cash.
"The donations are very much appreciated, but what we really need now are berries of any kind, be they strawberries, blackberries, blueberries or whatever," explained Rosenthal. "But no more apples, please. We have enough donated apples to bake him an apple pie every day this month."
Now officials are hoping that the celebrity cub will serve as an effective real-life warning against wildfires. "When they see Boo Boo, they can see what can happen when fire gets out of control," Cyd Weiland with the Boise National Forest told CNN affiliate KTVB. "Having Boo Boo, having Smokey Bear, is a really good reminder to always be careful with fire."
After being driven down from the mountaintops by the fierce flames, the baby black bear was found desperately clinging to a tree on a trail when rescuers found him, with his foot pads so badly burned that he was forced to hobble painfully on them.
The executive director of the Idaho Humane Society said the bear will be treated by vets each day to make sure he heals, but they also have to make sure that Boo Boo doesn't get attached to those caring for him to ensure he can safely be returned to the wild.
"There is a possibility with a bear like this - if he does not become habituated to humans - that he could possibly be placed back into a den in early spring and released," explained Rosenthal.

Just watched today's The View...
And either Kim Kardashian is pregnant or needs to burn that dress red dress. Looks like she is trying to hide the start of pregnancy to me. And the way she answered the Kanye and kid question was strange to me. So yep, I'm gonna call it and say she is knocked up.

Great idea for dog walking language!!
It would be nice to know if I need to get off the trail. Lucy definitely feeds off other dogs and it would be nice to know if I should give some space or if the dog like it's space. Great idea. Gonna start looking for this and tie one on Lucy's.

Me and my Syddalee at the beach.
I always knew Syddalee was a beach dog and this summer I finally got a chance to take her. Next summer maybe Lucy will come but I don't think she will be as happy. A great trip and a little break from the everyday. Oak Island, NC is a dog friendly beach and the Island Resort Inn is where I plan on going back to with my pups. Right off the beach and low-key in a good way.
Totally unacceptable!!
I know a beer I will never buy or support in any way again!!! Shame on them! (I don't even want to say the name and put it in print)!!! Someone needs to rip them a new one.
Shame on them and everyone in that photo! Those poor dogs need saving. A life in a rescue kennel is better then this and most make lovable parts of human only households, they aren't throw away dogs!!! They are victims and need saving!!! The sad thing is the dogs are only doing it out of love for their handlers(those people aren't dog owners!)
Complete outrage!!
